In a nutshell:
The age old expression; “one thing leads to another” couldn’t be more true. After designing the RT60 we knew we were onto something that was filling a niche sorely missing in the recumbent pannier market. The RT40’s were a natural addition to the popular RT panniers. The main focus of these panniers was to make a recumbent specific bag that could be used on a mid-ship rack as well as a rear rack. To fit mid-ship racks, we needed minimum clearance between the pannier and the seat so we designed it without a top pocket and put the hooks at the maximum allowable height on the back. We hope you enjoy using them and welcome any comments you may have on these or any of our products.
Add another layer of waterproof protection, increase visibility, keep grime off your bags with an Arkel rain cover.

Needs internal stiffeners as the bags sag beneath the seat racks which can cause it to drag on the ground when turning. I currently use bungee cords or straps to snug up the bags once packed to reduce the risk of ground contact.
