First ever pannier rack made by Arkel!

This week marks the launch of the new Arkel AC LowRider front rack, this rack was made by Old Man Mountain but last year OMM decided to stop making it. This was a big disappointment for us and so the thought of making it ourselves came about. We’ve had and continue to have a great relationship with Channing at Old Man Mountain and he was very generous to let us make this rack. So here we are a few months later and the first batch is ready to be shipped!! We are very excited to be able to offer this rack made right here in Sherbrooke, QC, Canada. The Arkel AC LowRider is all aluminum and will fit on bikes equipped with touring forks with lower and mid fork eyelets. It has been redesigned to better accommodate our Cam-Lock hook system so you can use this rack with any Arkel front panniers equipped with either our Cam-Lock self locking attachment system or the B-Series manual attachment system.

Launch of Arkel's brand new website !!

At last, the launch date of our brand new website!! We've been at it since last Summer and have spent numerous cold Winter evenings building it. Our new website makes it much easier to navigate and pinpoint specific products. Those are organized in broad categories so that you can quickly focus on the ones you are looking for. Referencing of our website is also greatly improved so that our co-cyclists can find us more quickly on the web. We have lots of new ideas that our website will allow us to develop. Watch for upcoming photo contests, prizes to be won, Arkel stories and much much more !! Like with any new website, you may come across typos, broken links and the like, we would certainly appreciate that you point them to us. In the meantime, days are getting longer, birds are coming back and we are just about to hop back on our bikes (although some of us haven't quit at all) !! Ride on !!
